We just learned, and are sorry to hear, that Jake Burton informed employees and team riders this week that he has a very curable form of cancer, according to an email memo that went out earlier today to the Burton family worldwide. Burton, who has already under gone three days of chemo therapy, is reportedly doing well but has warned that his work schedule will fluctuate during the next few months.
